Pūtahi marae is located south of Frasertown. Its principal hapū is Ngāti Hinepehinga of Ngāti Kahungunu iwi.
The wharenui is called Te Poho o Hinepehinga. The marae connects ancestrally to the waka Takitimu and the awa Wairoa.
