Wairau Pā marae is just north of Blenheim, at Spring Creek in the Marlborough Sounds. The marae belongs to the iwi Ngāti Toa Rangatira, Rangitāne o Wairau and Ngāti Rārua.
The whare tupuna is also called Wairau. The marae ancestrally connects to the waka Tainui kurahaupō, the maunga Tokomaru and Tapuae-o-Uenuku and the awa Wairau.
