Waihapa marae is near to Waihapa Bay, 10 km northwest of Kaeo on Waihapa Road (off SH10). The primary iwi is Ngāti Kahu ki Whangaroa.
The wharenui is called Tai Tokerau and the wharekai is Whare Awhina. The marae connects ancestrally to the maunga Taratara, the moana Whangaroa and the awa Ōhau.
