Waihaha marae is located in Waihaha Bay, Lake Taupo, 200m from the Waihaha River on the Western Bay Road (SH32). The primary hapū is Ngāti Tarakaiahi of the iwi Ngāti Tūwharetoa.
The wharenui is called Haukapuanui (built in 2002) and the wharekai is Hineone. The wharepuni is called Puarata.
