Waiatuhi marae is located in Mourea on the eastern shores of Lake Rotorua. The primary hapū are Ngāti Kahumatamomoe, Ngāti Pāruaharanui and Ngāti Te Tākinga of Ngāti Pikiao.

The whare tupuna is called Kahumatamomoe. The marae connects ancestrally to Te Arawa waka, the maunga Matawhaura and the awa Ōhau.
