Wai o Turi marae is located in Pātea, near the mouth of the Pātea River. Its principal hapū is Rangitāwhi of the iwi Ngā Rauru Kitahi.
The wharenui is named Rangiharuru, the wharenui is named Te Uukaipoo. The marae connects ancestrally to the waka Aotea and the maunga Taranaki.
