Te Rarawa marae is situated on Awaroa Road in Kaitaia. It is associated with the hapū Ngāti Te Ao, Tahāwai and Te Uri o Hina of Te Rarawa.
The wharenui is also called Te Rarawa and the wharekai is Mahi Tahi. The marae ancestrally connects to the maunga Taumatamahoe and the wai Tangonge.
