Te Rangiita marae is located in Taupō on Pitiroi Street, 500m west of the Waikato River. The primary hapū is Ngāti Ruingarangi of the iwi Ngāti Tūwharetoa.
The wharenui is called Te Rangiita, the wharekai is Waitapu and the wharepuni is Ruingarangi. The marae connects ancestrally to the waka Te Arawa.
