Te Paea o Hauraki is located on the east coast of the Coromandel Peninsula at Kennedy Bay, south of Tuateawa and north of Whangapoua. Its principal affiliations are to Pare Hauraki tribal collective.
The marae consists of the wharenui Te Paea and a wharekai named Maata. Marutūāhu is the tekoteko.The marae connects to the Tainui waka.
