Te Horo marae is located south of the Waiapu River in Te Horo, Ruatōria. Its principal hapū is Ngāti Horowai of Ngāti Porou iwi.
The wharenui is called Rākaitemania, and the wharekai is Te Herenga o Ngati Horowai. The marae connects ancestrally to the waka Horouta and the maunga Rakaitemania.
