Te Ahoroa marae is located 9 km east of Te Kuiti. Its primary hapū are gati Pare, Paretapoto and Ngati Rereahu of Ngāti Maniapoto.
The wharenui is named Tapairu. Te Ahoroa marae connects ancestrally to the Tainui waka, the awa Waipa and Mangarapa and the maunga Rangitoto.
