Taupō Marae is located at Taupō Bay on the East Coast of Tai Tokerau, north of Whangaroa Harbour. The marae sits on whenua Māori, situated behind the public subdivision and Taupō Bay Motor Camp, with a private entrance providing access to the marae.
To find the marae, travel towards Taupō Bay beach. After passing the holiday park, the private entrance to the marae is the first driveway on the right.
As we continue the development of our marae and whenua, we are currently accepting bookings on a case-by-case basis. We welcome enquiries from groups and whānau seeking to use the marae, and each request will be considered in relation to the progress and availability of our marae facilities.
We look forward to continuing the development of Taupō Marae and strengthening its role as a place for whānau, hui and connection to our whenua and community.
