Pariroa marae is located north of Pātea. Its principal hapū include Ngāti Ringi and Ngāti Tūpoto and Tuatahi of the iwi Ngāti Ruanui.
The whare are named Putoetoe and Taiporohēnui. The marae connects ancestrally to the waka Aotea and the maunga Taranaki.
