Pūkaki

Pūkaki marae is situated in Mangere off Massey Road down a long driveway and near the crater-edge named Te Pukaki Tapu o Poutukeka. The principal hapu is Te Ākitai of the Waiohua iwi, which affiliate with the Waikato-Tainui confederation, and trace descent from the Tainui waka.

Pūkaki marae is ancestrally associated with the maunga Maungakiekie and Taupiri, and with the Waikato River and the Manukau Harbour.
