Ngāi Tupoto marae is located on the northern side of the Hokianga Harbour at Motukaraka Point in the Far North.
The primary hapū for the marae are Ngāi Tupoto and Ngāti Here of Te Rarawa. The wharenui is named Ngāhuia.
