Moewhare

Moewhare marae is located on the edge of the Kaingaroa Forest, just north of Murupara. The primary hapū is Moewhare of Ngāti Manawa and Ngāi Tuhoe.

The wharenui, also called Moewhare, was built in 1929. Moewhare marae connects ancestrally to the maunga Tawhiuau and the awa Rangitaiki.
