Miria marae, also known as Waiomio, is located on State Highway 1 in Waiomio (approximately 5 minutes drive south of Kawakawa). It is associated with Ngati Hine.
The wharenui is Te Rapunga and the wharekai is Te Hahaunga. Waiomio marae has ancestral links to the mountain Tokerau and to the Taumarere River.
As of 2017, Miria marae trustees wish to relay that the marae is currently under development and is not accepting bookings until further notice. Please connect to Miria marae facebook page for updates.
