Kawa (Ngāti Wai o Aotea) marae is located in Katherine Bay, on the northwestern coast of Aotea (Great Barrier Island), south of Motairehe marae. It belongs to Ngāti Wai.
The wharenui is named Rehua. It connects ancestrally to the maunga Hirakimata and to the coastal region called Te Moananui o Toitehuatahi.
