Iramoko marae is located 10km inland from Matatā. The principal hapū that affiliates to this marae Te Tāwera of the iwi Ngāti Awa.
The whare is named Te Paetata. Iramoko marae connects ancestrally to the Mataatua waka, the maunga Pūtauaki and the awa Tarawera.
