Huia marae is located on the northern outskirts of Levin on State Highway 1. Its principal hapū is Ngāti Huia of Ngāti Raukawa ki te Tonga iwi.
The whare tupuna is also named Huia. The marae connects ancestrally to the waka Tainui, the maunga Tararua and the awa Manawatū.
