Tūmapūhia Marae is the home of Ngāi Tūmapūhia-ā-Rangi hapū (of the iwi Ngāti Kahungūnu and Rangitāne), all it’s descendants and whānau. It is located approximately 65 kilometres east of Masterton township, in the coastal community of Ōkautete, Homewood.
The marae complex is situated on an elevated sight overlooking Ōkautete School and Mangamōrea Hāhi, with panaromic views of Te Moana-Nui-Ā-Kiwa in the front, and Ngāumu Ngāhere and Te Pae Maunga o Te Māipi behind.
