Tūhourangi

Tūhourangi marae is located 5 km east of Te Puke. The hapū is Ngāti Taoitekura of the iwi Tūhourangi.

The whare tupuna is also named Tūhourangi. The marae connects to Te Arawa waka, the maunga Rangiuru and the awa Kaituna. Tarawera was the ancestral maunga and roto before its eruption. Hapū relocated to Ōtukawa following.
