Pikitanga Pā (otherwise referred to as Pikitanga marae) is located about 6 km northwest of Te Araroa on Te Araroa Road. Its principal hapū is Te Kauwhakatuakina of Ngāti Porou iwi.
The wharenui is called Te Pikitanga o Kauwhakatuakina. The marae connects ancestrally to Horouta waka, the maunga Pukeamaru, and the awa Punaruku.
