Oruarahi (Te Rangihouhiri)

Oruarahi marae (Te Rangihouhiri) is located on Matakana Island, just across the harbour from Tauranga. The primary hapū for this marae is Ngāi Tamawhariua of Ngāi Te Rangi.

The whare tipuna is also named Te Rangihouhiri and the marae connects ancestrally to the waka Mataatua, the maunga Mauao and the moana Tauranga.
