Ōeo marae is located on State Highway 45 near Otakeho. Its principal hapū include Ngāti Tamaahuroa and Tītahi of the iwi Ngāruahine Rangi.
The wharenui are named Tipua Horonuku and Tipua Hororangi, the latter sharing this name with the whare mate. The wharekai is Rongorongo; it opened in 1984. The marae connects ancestrally to the waka Aotea and the maunga Taranaki.
