Te Manutai marae is located in Tahaenui, west of Nūhaka. Its principal hapū is Rakaipaaka of Ngāti Kahungunu iwi.
The wharenui is also called Te Manutai. The marae connects ancestrally to the waka Takitimu and the awa Tahaenui.
