Waipahīhī marae is located in Waipahīhī, Taupō, just south of the Napier-Taupō Road turnoff. Its principal hapū are Ngāti Hinerau and Ngāti Hineure of Ngāti Tūwharetoa.
The wharenui is called Kurapoto. The marae connects ancestrally to Te Arawa waka, the maunga Tauhara, the awa Onekeneke and the roto Taupō.
