Te Mira marae, also known as Whetū Mārama or Mill Pā, is located south of Frasertown. Its principal hapū is Ngāti Mākoro of Ngāti Kahungunu iwi.
The wharenui is called Mākoro. The marae connects ancestrally to the waka Takitimu and the awa Wairoa.
