Te Ihupuku Pā marae is located on the outskirts of Waitōtara, on State Highway 3. Te Ihupuku Pā belongs to the hapū Ngāti Hinewaiata of the iwi Ngā Rauru Kitahi.
The wharenui is named Kawerau, the wharekai is Kareponia. The marae connects ancestrally to the waka Aotea and the maunga Taranaki.
