Tāhuna marae is located on Tāhuna Pa Road, in the Waiuku area. Tāhuna marae affiliates with Ngāti Te Ata, Waiōhua and Waikato iwi.
The wharenui is named Teuwira, the wharekai is Te Atai Rehia, the orators’ shelter is Te Hononga and the health and fitness centre is Whareoranga, which promotes individual and group exercise. Tāhuna marae connects ancestrally to the maunga of Maungawhau, Matukutureia, Puketapu and Taupiri, and to the awa Waikato and Awaroa.
