Taharua marae is located just outside Paeroa on the Hauraki Plains. It belongs to Ngati Taharua of Ngāti Tamaterā iwi.
The wharenui is also named Taharua. The marae connects ancestrally to the maunga Moehau and Te Aroha, the awa Ohinemuri and Waihou and the Tainui waka.
