Reweti marae is located on State Highway 16 at Reweti, five minutes drive north of Waimauku. The wharenui is named Whiti Te Ra. A principal hapu of Reweti is Te Taoū, which belongs to the Ngāti Whātua confederation.
Reweti marae ancestrally identifies to the waka of Mahuhukiterangi and is connected to the nearby maunga Tauwhare and to Kaipara Harbour.
