Ōtiria marae is two minutes drive east of Moerewa on King Rd. It consists of the newer wharenui named Tūmatauenga, the wharekai called Te Puna i Keteriki and an older house named Porowini.
Ngati Hine is the iwi of Ōtiria marae; Ngāti Te Ara and Ngāti Kōpaki are the hapū .
The carved house, Tūmatauenga – named after the Maori deity of war – was gifted to Ōtiria marae by Pita Kingi and dedicated to the memory of soldiers who fought in the two world wars.
