Body:
Ōhākī marae is on the southern side of the Whangape Harbour in the Pawarenga district. Two whare stand on Ōhākī: Te Urunga Moutonu and Maruotehuia. The main hapū is Te Uri o Tai of the iwi Te Rarawa.
The marae is also known as Te Pou o Te Rangi (Te Uri o Tai), and connects ancestrally to the waka Kurahaupo and the moana Whangape.
