Ngunguru marae is located on Waiotoi Road in the settlement of Ngunguru, along the east coast north of Whangarei. It belongs to the hapū Ngāti Korora and Ngāti Takapari of Te Waiariki (o Ngunguru).
The wharenui is named Paratene Te Manu and the wharekai is Manaakitia te Iwi.
