Ngātira marae is located in the Waikato, 18 km southwest of Putaruru. The primary hapū of the marae is Ngāti Ahuru of Ngāti Raukawa.
The whare is named Te Tikanga a Tāwhiao and the wharekai is Hine Te Kakara. The marae ancestrally connects to the Tainui waka, the awa Oraka and the maunga Hautere.
