Korongatā marae is located on Maraekākaho Road in Bridge Pā. Its principal hapū are Ngāti Pōporo and Ngāti Whatuiāpiti of Ngāti Kahungunu iwi.
The wharenui is called Nukanoa. The marae connects ancestrally to the waka Takitimu, the maunga Kahurānaki, and the awa Kārewarewa and Ngaruroro.
