Te Āwhina

Te Āwhina marae is located on State Highway 50 in Fernhill. Its principal hapū are Ngāi Te Ūpokoiri, Ngāti Hinemanu and Ngāti Mahuika.

The wharenui is called Te Huinga o Te Aroha. The marae connects ancestrally to the waka Takitimu, the maunga Kahurānaki and the awa Ngaruroro.
