Pikipāria marae is on Smiths Deviation Road beyond Kohukohu, on the northern side of Hokianga Harbour. Pikipāria affiliates with Ngāpuhi and the hapū Te Ihutai.
The wharenui is named Ngarunui, the wharekai is named Alma and the Kohanga is named Hinengaro.
