Ngāwhā

Ngāwhā marae is located 5 minutes drive east of Kaikohe off State Highway 12. The principal hapu is Ngāti Rangi of the Ngāpuhi confederation.

The wharenui is named E Koro Kia Tutuki. Ngāwhā marae is located in the vicinity of the maunga and pa named Pouerua and Lake Owhareiti to the east; Te Ahu Ahu pa and Lake Omapere to the north; and Maungaturoto pa and the Ngāwhā Springs to the west. This whenua is collectively named Taiamai.
