Hurungaterangi marae is located in Ngāpuna, Rotorua. The primary hapū are Ngāti Hurungaterangi, Ngāti Taeotu and Ngāti Kahu of Ngāti Whakaue.
The whare tupuna is also called Hurungaterangi and the wharekai is Whaingārangi. The marae connects ancestrally to Te Arawa waka.
