Hikutaiā marae is located in Hikutaiā, about 1 km east of the township (off the main road of State Highway 26), and 11 km north of Paeroa.

The principal hapu associated with Hikutaiā marae is Ngāti Pū, and the marae connects ancestrally to the iwi of Ngāti Maru.
