Harataunga (Rākairoa)

Harataunga (Rākairoa) is located at Kennedy Bay on the east coast of the Coromandel Peninsula. It belongs to Ngāti Porou ki Harataunga ki Mataora of the Horouta waka.

Harataunga marae consists of the wharenui Rākairoa and a wharekai named Ngaropi. The marae connects ancestrally to the awa Harataunga and the maunga Moehau.
