Ōrimupiko marae is located on the banks of the Waiaua River on the outskirts of Opunake. Its principal hapū include Ngāti Haumia, Ngāti Kahumate and Ngāti Tamarongo of the iwi Taranaki.
The wharenui is named Ōhinetuhirau; it opened in 1958. The marae connects ancestrally to the waka Aotea and the maunga Taranaki.
