Ruapeka Marae is located close to Tirau on State Highway 5, just before you enter Fitzgerald Glade travelling south to Rotorua. Its principal hapū is Ngāti Tūkorehe of Ngāti Raukawa, from the Tainui waka.
Ruapeka marae consists of the wharenui named Rangimarie and the wharekai Te Aroha. The marae connects ancestrally to the maunga Maungatautari.
