Pukehina marae is located 20 km south-east of Te Puke on State Highway 2. The principal hapū that affiliates to this marae is Ngāti Whakahemo of Ngāti Pikiao.
The whare is named Tawakemoetahanga. Pukehina marae connects ancestrally to Te Arawa waka, the maunga Matawhaura and the awa Pongakawa.
