Te Kotahitanga marae is located at the northern end of Nūhaka. Its principal hapū is Rakaipaaka of Ngāti Kahungunu iwi.
The wharenui is called Unity Hall (Te Kotahitanga can be translated as 'unity'). The marae connects ancestrally to the waka Tākitimu and the awa Nūhaka.
